Joanne is double boarded by the AANP in family and emergency medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from Mississippi University for Women before moving to Alabama and attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham for a graduate degree in Nursing. Prior to coming to the Center For Pain in February of 2020, she was Lead APC for Emergency and Hospitalist Medicine at Baptist Medical Center and worked clinically in the emergency department. As Clinical Director for the Center for Pain, her mission is to continually work with the staff and clinicians to provide quality, evidence-based, compassionate care. In her spare time, Joanne enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her family.
