Trey Ware, D.O.

Dr. Ware is a native of Alabama and is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in finance. He completed medical school at Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. Then he completed a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and practiced as an anesthesiologist in Birmingham. After nearly 10 years of practicing anesthesiology, his interest in pain management led him to return to training and complete a fellowship in pain medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He then combined his interests by practicing both anesthesiology and pain medicine for another 10 years and is now excited to focus solely on the practice of pain medicine. Dr. Ware is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. 

He recognizes how pain can negatively affect the quality of life including functional activities of daily living, social life, and emotional well-being. Having a background in osteopathic medicine, he believes in treating pain with a comprehensive and holistic approach. He desires to provide compassionate care and approach each patient with an individualized evaluation and treatment plan. Dr. Ware treats all types of acute and chronic pain using multiple modalities including physical therapy, medications, and interventional procedures to improve daily function and, ultimately, the quality of life. 

Away from the office, he enjoys good food and spending time outside (only in warm weather) with his wife and children and their spoiled Yorkie, who is undoubtedly the boss of the family.
